  • Acquire a general overview of the broad range of organic reactions which can be used to prepare molecules and molecular materials
  • Understand the central role played by the chemical industry in our society.

IV. Evaluation
Méthode(s) d'évaluation *

oral exam + laboratory reports

Construction de la note (en ce compris, la pondération des notes partielles) *

Oral exam accounts for 80% of the final grade. The laboratory reports are marked and account for 20% of the final grade.

The understanding of the theoretical concepts will be evaluated as well as the student’s capacity to apply the theory to practical problems.

The practicals illustrate the course content and are an integral part of the material that is evaluated at the exam.

Questions can be answered during the break or after classes. The practicals are a privileged moment for discussions. It is also possible to make an appointment with the teaching staff to ask further questions. Students are encouraged to consult reference text-books. Numerous reference books are available in the library of the "Laboratoire d'Ingénierie des Nanosystèmes Moléculaires" (room P2-2-211).
